Thomas Irons, father of James and William Irons, one of our oldest, and most highly esteemed cirtizens, died at the residence of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robert Irons, from the wear of time, in Madison Township, this morning, April 26th at 2 o'clock at the advanced age of 88 years. The funeral will take place at Potato Creek Church to-marrow at 1 o'clock P.M., Rev. T.C. Shanklin, officiating. The interment will be made in Peterson Cemetery.

“Campbell Chapel news” - Some sickness yet and one death, that of Grandfather Irons, died at the residence of Sarah Irons, near the Chapel, on Thursday morning the 26th at 2 o'clock. The funeral services took place at the Potato Creek Church on Friday April 27th. Rev. Shanklin of Linden preached the funeral discourse. The remains were interred at the graveyard near the church. He was near 90 years old. - kbz
